How to connect iPhone to TV
So, there are two types of adaptors for connecting Apple smartphones and tablets to TV or monitor or projector:
- Lightning to VGA Adapter;
- Lightning to HDMI Adapter (another name "Lightning Digital AV Adapter").
Accordingly, for the first one you’ll need an analogous VGA cable, for the second one – a digital HDMI. Both adaptors have a jack for a Lighting cable, so you will be able to load your gadget simultaneously with connecting to external screen.
Both adapters are not very cheap – 49$ for each piece.
Talking about advantages it is worth to mention that there are no settings. You just connect a device and forget about anything else. Still, it can be considered a small disadvantage as well – there are no connection settings.
