In stores, corn is usually sold already in ready-made form (in vacuum packing), which is quite expensive. It is much cheaper and more interesting to buy raw corn and cook it.
If you bought raw corn, cook it as soon as possible. The more freshness you can preserve, the more juicy and tastier the corn appears.
How to cook corn:
- Peel: If you are going to eat corn at once, it makes sense to peel it from leaves and threads. If you want to keep it in a fridge after cooking – do not remove the leaves;
- Boil water: Boil some water in a pot. The corn should float freely in the water after you put it there. Do not add salt and spices, as this will make corn harder. Some add some sugar to the water, but it depends on personal preferences. If you cook corn for the first time, try sugar-free cooking;
- Cook: Put corn in boiling water and cover with a lid. Once the water boils again - the corn is ready. To make corn softer, you can keep it boiling for another 5-10 minutes, but this is not necessary;
- Eat: Dip corn in butter, sprinkle abundantly with salt and enjoy!
